“Supporting people throughout the difficulties of cancer treatment is a responsibility I take to heart. While it’s not without struggle, you can live meaningfully and well while managing cancer. Acupuncture can help you do that.”

– Erinne Adachi, Dr. Ac.

Acupuncture and Cancer-care

The side effects of surgery, chemotherapy, radiation, and other cancer treatments can severely affect quality of life and sometimes even result in delayed or cancelled treatment plans. Research shows acupuncture enables cancer patients to enjoy a better quality of life while adhering to their oncologist’s treatment protocols and timelines. Acupuncture is also a valuable tool in rehabilitating body, mind, and spirit after cancer treatment.

Benefits of acupuncture as an added treatment for cancer-care include:

  • Reducing treatment side effects, including nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, & constipation

  • Supporting the immune system & maintaining appropriate blood cell counts (WBC, RBC)

  • Helping restore nerve function in chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy

  • Combating fatigue and improving cognitive symptoms like brain fog (a.k.a. chemo-brain)

  • Alleviating anxiety and supporting mental health throughout the process, from diagnosis thru treatment and beyond

Dr. Erinne Adachi successfully completed the Oncology Acupuncture International Certification through the TCM Academy of Integrative Medicine.
